These two could have some highly entertaining train wreck TV type explosive
arguements. It's just too bad these two have to are squaring off on the
Tonight Show. We all know he'll put a stop to it as soon as the word bitch
is uttered and prevent us from some interesting TV. I know Jay's a pussy and
likes to maintain a squeaky clean image for him and his lame ass show.

Jay's inched a few steps leftward in the last few weeks, so I'm hoping
he keeps it up.

On the other hand, I just saw "Good Night, and Good Luck," and there's
a great quote from Edward R. Murrow: something about not every story
deserving an opposing point of view. I mean, if you interviewed a
black guy about civil rights, you shouldn't be forced to have a Klanner
for balance. So I'm mystified why a middle-of-the-road TV program
would provide the train wreck that is Ann Coulter with an opportunity
to showcase and validate her offensive, right-wing ridiculousness.

And you don't have a brain in your head. Who brought up "free speech"?
"Free speech" is being able to stand on a street corner and say the
president is an asshole. "Free speech" isn't letting the Genuinely
Insane Ann Coulter on "The Tonight Show."

Howard Stern has the right to have a filthy, adolescent radio program.
Ann Coulter, if she wants, can have a filthy, adolescent radio program
too. (I doubt she could do any better.) NEITHER has the right to
appear on television shows where their third-grade opinions (and in
Ann's case, patently offensive BS) will be watched by intelligent
people.

Leno doesn't have to have a Klan member to balance an appearance by
Samuel L. Jackson, and he doesn't need the Brain-Dead Ann Coulter to
balance the Smart George Carlin.

Got it? Sheesh. Why can't Republicans grasp the concept of free
speech?

Insane because YOU say so?!?! Grow up, Skippy! Who said anything about
""balance""?!?! That's a fantasy your tiny little brain made up. They book
guests that they think will get an audience, no more, no less.

Offensive to YOU, because your tiny little brain can't grasp the POINT
behind what she says, even if she does go a bit overboard in expressing it.

wtf does the klan have to do with any of this??? OH! I forgot! YOU are the
enlightened, and YOU get to decide who is entitled to free speech and who
isn't. GROW UP!

Exactly. It's like moths to the flame. Of course Coulter was
deliberately booked to be on the same show as Carlin to provoke a
confrontation. (Poor KT Tunstall.) Someone on another group remarked the
worst thing that could happen to Coulter was to be brutally murdered. I
replied that the ABSOLUTE worst thing that could happen would be for
everyone to stop paying attention to what she says and does. But that
will never happen, because both her fans and detractors can't help but
hear what nonsense will spew from her mouth, and the reaction to it.
